beautiful pot, rusted mesh… The pot itself looks like it’s made well and the color is beautiful. However, within 3 weeks of using it the metal mesh for loose tea has rusted (with excellent care, drying it immediately after washing etc). Disappointing.
Disappointment I debated about ordering this after reading the one negative review about the infusion basket. When my tea pot arrived it was missing the infusion basket, so I am returning it. I also, did not like the quality of the kettle and was a bit annoyed that it was promoted as a “Traditional Japanese cast iron teapot”. The sticker on the teapot says made in China. It would be nice if that was included in the product description.
Japanese Teapot This teapot is very well made and makes a nice cup or so of tea. The looks and weight and finish are great. Very Happy with this as a replacement for one from Teavava that I gave to my daughter.
