The Japanese have been using Tetsubin teapots for centuries to brew tea, heat water & provide comfort and warmth. The design of the teapot reflected the status of the owner and was, and still is, considered a work of art. Each Cast Iron Tetsubin teapot is hand-cast, as well as hand-finished, and fitted with a removable stainless steel mesh infuser basket. The interior of each pot is lined with porcelain enamel to prevent rusting and requires very little care. These are not tea ‘kettles’ but are tea brewing vessels. They should not be placed directly on the stove top burner. Hand wash.

40 ounces; Trivet included is 7″ in diameter

Product Features

  • Cast iron pot lined with enamel to prevent rusting
  • Included for free is a matching trivet and a removable stainless steel infuser.

Beautiful teapot I found this teapot after shopping at Teavana. I was accosted by extremely rude salespeople there, so I left the store and started shopping online. This teapot is of equal quality to the $3-400 pots being sold in the store. It does, indeed, keep tea warm for a long time. The enameled interior makes it easy to clean. The trivet is a nice bonus, which helps retain the heat. You can’t go wrong with this teapot.

Awesome Pot My husband and I love this pot and use it ALL the time. It is durable and has a large enough capacity that we get two really generous cups of tea out of one seeping. The ONLY reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is impossible to purchase an additional mesh cup that sits inside of the tea pot. That should be a standard accessory that a consumer can easily replace. I do recommend this pot 🙂
