A coating of black enamel is applied to the inner surfaces to help prevent the development of rust. A removable stainless steel infusing basket is supplied for ease of preparation,. As with all “tetsubin” (cast iron teapots) this will brew a marvelous pot of tea and keep it hot for quite some time.

Reaching enlightenment drinking from this tea set…. I love this! I know that some reviews said that the teapot’s a bit small, but I don’t think so! It’s just right for two people! Very cozy! Or if you’re really into drinking tea, you can probably finish the whole tea pot by yourself (I totally did). It feels very refreshing to drink to tea while looking at the teapot.
Some of the enamel on the bowls could be better. Medium level quality. Some of the enamel on the bowls could be better.
Excellent teapot The teapot is as described. Cast iron with an enamel interior. Both materials are high quality with daily use. Tea stays warm for a long time. Price was great at ~$30.
