The “Tetsubin” Teapot or Cast Iron teapots were first created in ancient China. They were later adopted and refined by the Japanese into Tetsubin. A coating of black enamel is applied to the inner surfaces to help prevent the development of rust. A removable stainless steel infusing basket is supplied for ease of preparation,. As with all “tetsubin” (cast iron teapots) this will brew a marvelous pot of tea and keep it hot for quite some time.

BEAUTIFUL TEAPOT AND CUP SET – ATTRACTIVE ENOUGH TO DISPLAY! I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband who is very pleased with it. He likes green tea and herbal teas and this is the perfect thing for those. There is a mesh basket within the teapot for loose tea and also to save you from having to ‘fish out’ the teabags to dispose of them. The cups get very hot while drinking tea so I ordered a couple of matching saucers from the same manufacturer and they match perfectly. They make the cup so much easier to hold while drinking scalding hot…
