A coating of black enamel is applied to the inner surfaces to help prevent the development of rust. A removable stainless steel infusing basket is supplied for ease of preparation,. As with all “tetsubin” (cast iron teapots) this will brew a marvelous pot of tea and keep it hot for quite some time.

Functional and looks great I really like the dragons. It wasn’t clear in the pictures but there ar dragons on each of the cups. I also ordered a pair of black leaf costers to complete the look. This and my other two tea sets are the first thing you may see as you come in my house that or the swords spears and shields. The cups are the only problem. With this set. The best solution is to use my China / porsolyn cups. The cast iron sucks the heat out of the tea so you have a cup you can’t hold or put your lips to and cold…
I’d call this an amazing value for the size of the pot and coming … My first real teapot, cast iron makes a huge difference. I’d call this an amazing value for the size of the pot and coming with two cups and a stand. It’s attractive and functional. The spout is quite good and almost never drips. The mesh bowl is fine, and combined with how it pours I almost never get any leaf bits in my tea.The paint job isn’t perfect, but I’m taking off stars for that.
Beautiful teapot – well made My Wife uses this every day and she absolutley loves it – only ask would be for a larger size – but it is beautiful
