Rough But Ok for What It Is VERY rough casting of the cast iron. Made in China, so… Sharp edges around the rim, very rough grinding off at the spout.Painted black, and paint was scratched off in several places but we plan to season it before using anyway.Had thought about picking up a used one at an antique store, but the old ones are way expensive (but much nicer finish), and this seemed like a good deal at $42. Very satisfied with this product! I have had this sitting on my wood stove for a few days and it is working great. It is larger than I had thought and much heavier, both good things for me. I live in the Pacific Northwest and we have seen our temperatures drop over the past month and it has been great to use my stove instead of hearing my heater starting up every few minutes.
