Not good for hot drinks. My experience has been far more than sub par with this cup. It’s got an open mouth cap, so it’s not spill proof. But, more importantly, it doesn’t keep my drink as warm as it says it does. I drive an hour to work everyday. I head up the cup (by pouring hot water in to it) and then I put in a hot cup of coffee. It says it keeps hot drinks hot for up to 12 hours. It doesn’t keep my hot drink hot for up to 1 hour. I would not recommend this cup and after giving it five days of trial, I am…
My thigh and car seat agree it is not spill proof, but mine stays hot well, not 12 hours but certainly 5-6 hrs, bought it from Olympia Shoes out of business sale for 5.99 I also preheat it like you with boiling water for about 20 mins plus prior to adding coffee. I was just about to get another since I cracked the lid 🙁 until I seen this.. Thank you
Stays HOT for HOURS!!!!! Keeps my beverage hot for HOURS!! I am so use to the cheaply made ones I’d buy at Walmart I honestly didn’t think to be careful and I would go to sip my coffee and burn myself every time. Kid you not! Love it! Will be buying more for gifts 🙂

Keeps hot drinks extremely hot for 3 plus hours. Prefer my hot drinks to be scorching hot, and this mug keeps it that way every time. Warm for much longer. Also cracked the lid on mine and was searching for another. Even with a cracked lid, still stays hot. Got this one at Pier one going out of business sale.
