CorningWare French White Pop-Ins 20-Ounce Mug with Plastic Cover

The original CorningWare bakeware which was first introduced in 1958, was made of a glass-ceramic material that could be used on the stove, in the oven and under the broiler. After World Kitchen acquired the brand in the late 1990’s, CorningWare products were switched to ceramic stoneware production. Introduced later that year was the French White collection, which has been an all-time best seller among brides-to-be. The CorningWare stoneware collections can be used in conventional, convection and microwave ovens as well for storing food in the refrigerator and freezer. Great item for use at the company microwave I purchased these mugs for use at work. I have used regular bowls to boil water, heat canned soups, and similar items. I was always concerned with burning myself from the porcelain or from splashing as I walked back to my desk. I later upgraded to a bowl with a small handle as that was all I could find at the time. The handle got so hot I could not hold it with my bare hands but, if water splashed from soup, it would not go directly to my hands. Then I found these cups. They…

Close to Perfect I buy a lot of soup when it hits $1 a can at the market. It makes a good, cheap lunch. I disliked having to waste paper towels as covers when heating. Many times they even flop into the soup. This was the ideal answer. The lid keeps the soup from splattering into the microwave and it saves you from having a soggy paper towel to dispose of.
