A Well-Designed Tray We finally broke an 18 x 12 (Japanese style) plastic tray we’ve had for years and ordered this wooden tray to replace it. It’s light, which is nice if you’re going to hold it on your lap. The surface is a little rough, but that’s actually helpful because it keeps items from sliding too easily on it (a problem with the plastic tray). It’s just big enough for one of our dinner plates, a napkin and utensils. And it looks nice when it’s on the sofa or ottoman. We liked the first one when it arrived…

4″ Bowls Are Excellent and Hold Up Well I bought four of the 4″ bowls nearly six years ago. They still look beautiful, as they have only been hand washed with soap and water. I would not recommend you put these (or any wooden items) in the dishwasher, even on the top shelf. These are the bowls I always use for miso soup, and they have served extremely well in this capacity. I would not hesitate to buy these again, and will likely buy other items from this range based on my experience with the 4″ bowls.

Color not as pictured This is a nice-looking tray in terms of shape, and it seems sturdy enough, but the color is awful. It’s orange, not dark brown as shown in the picture.
