Great For Tea Enthusiasts Another reviewer mentioned this mug getting too hot to hold if microwaved, and I suppose he may be right. As a HUGE fan of loose-leaf tea, it is very rare for me to microwave water for my tea. I have a kettle I use to pour the hot water over the loose leaf tea in the strainer- it’s much easier to get an accurate temperature on the water this way. For quick microwave days, I would grab a plastic travel mug for my tea before I’d take the time to use something like this. Then again, if I was in that much of a rush, I’d probably use some bagged tea, too.The mug is a porcelain or porcelain-type material- beautiful, strong, and good quality, and the top and strainer both fit well, and are very functional and easy to clean. This is an AMAZING cup! I bought these because I recently got into loose leaf tea and drink a lot of tea at work. This cup is PERFECT. The lid functions as a holder for the steeper and it also keeps my tea hot/warm while it’s steeping. It’s super easy to clean up and is a great gift for any tea lover. I loved mine so much I bought 3 for friends who all enjoy them also. Very nice buy!
I love this cup The design on this cup is beautiful. I use it each evening and really enjoy it.I heat my water in a kettle then pour it in over my loose leaf tea. The strainer is a great size and I love how is sits on the edge of the cup allowing the lid to still fit.It can get a bit warm but not for long and warms your hands on a cool night.I am very happy with this purchase and will but Tea Forte cups and teas again.
