HIC’s 2.25-Inch Teapot shaped Pierced Tea Strainer hangs into mugs or tea cups to steep a more robust and flavorful brew. Easy to use. Simply fill the loose leaf tea infuser halfway with tea leaves, allowing loose tea ample room to fully expand. Hook the Infuser to the inside of the cup and pour in just-boiled water. Steep tea no less than 3 minutes to release its essential oils and maximize the brewed infusion with aroma and flavor. Once tea is steeped to desired strength, remove the Tea Infuser and enjoy the freshly brewed cup of tea. Great for steeping all types of tea, including black tea, oolong tea, green tea, chai, chamomile and other herbal tea. Use for mulling spices for cooking and baking, or making hot apple cider, spiced wine, and other drink recipes with mulled spices. Just fill the tea steeper with aromatic spices instead of tea. Made from 18/8 stainless steel, HIC’s Pierced Tea Infuser is reusable and more economical than using disposable tea bags. Fun tea accessories make clever gifts and kitchen decorations, too! It’s easy to fill, empty and clean. Compact for easy storage. Dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. 2.25-Inch

Great Tea Strainer! I have tea bags and tea balls and tea strainers with handles, but this is hands-down the best tea strainer ever! Everyone who likes tea knows the best way to make tea is with loose tea, that’s how you get the freshest, most robust flavor and aroma. But then how do you deal with the tea leaves, you certainly don’t want to drink them! With this tea strainer making a pot of tea becomes easy, all you have to do is set the strainer on top of the cup or mug and pour. That’s it! It makes brewing and…

Hardworking and decent. This tea strainer is pretty and does the job adequately. It is a little too shallow for me, as the tea tends to splash out when it’s poured a touch too fast, making a lovely little mess. It is very easy to clean as opposed to the mesh strainers that the tea leaves all get stuck in and are a pain to get out. It does let through some of the smaller tea leaves and can get very hot if the tea is very hot being poured through it. All in all a decent purchase.

Not Exactly what I wanted The strainer is a little larger and wider than I hoped for, good for traditional wide mouthed teacups but not the best for smaller mouthed mugs. Mostly, I was disappointed in the manufacture, the strainer part is bent in order to attach to the handles and the hammering here (on the back) was unfinished, unsightly, and not cleanly done. I worry it my rust in this area with continued use. Will let you know if it does.
