Hot Handle This kettle is beautiful. It heats up the water quickly, and has a loud whistle. However, the handle on top gets warm very quickly. Even when I take the kettle off as soon as it whistles, I cannot hold it with bare hands, and need to use an oven mitt to pour the water. I do not notice any steam escaping from the top, but the handle gets very warm. Also, the handle cannot be moved/tilted.

Very pretty Really like this. Seems to be well made, only time will tell, but love the look of it. Looks like an old farmhouse. Love it!

Capacity not as advertised – hazard This kettle is so pretty I wish i could love it. I bought it because the capacity was higher but you can only fill up the kettle halfway (not even three quarters, folks) or it will spurt water out the spout in large amounts all over your stovetop so please be careful. I am kind of surprised as this is Chantal and I thought it would be better designed even if it didn’t have the lovely elements of their higher priced . Pretty and economical if you want to boil just a small amount.
