but otherwise it’s great. Also Heats well, muted but audible whistle, holds a reasonable amount of water. Watch for steam getting under the handle, but otherwise it’s great. Also, I love the color. 🙂 We drink a LOT of tea, and also use it to boil water for rinsing out the drain.

… because it doesn’t leak nor rust and it looked nice when it first arrived I gave this kettle 2 stars because it doesn’t leak nor rust and it looked nice when it first arrived. I took away 3 stars because a couple months after normal use the paint started to chip away (see the uploaded photo). It’s functional but it sure isn’t pretty. Once the paint started peeling off, large sections began to peel away. Yuck.

Whistles inconsistently This tea kettle seems well made of eavy quality stainless steel. Unfortunately it whistles inconsistently. Sometimes it is quite audible, and other times it is just a hum. Will replace it.
