No. I purchased this to replace another Le Creuset that had rusted by the interior base of the pour spout. All I ever do in this kettle is boil water. That is it. I have the same problem with this kettle as the last. Where the side wall and the bottom of the pour spout, inside, is rusted. I have used this kettle for it’s intended purpose and it failed. Pretty pricy fail. Not worth it, it will not stand the test of time.

Great tea kettle We had problems with previous tea kettles rusting but this one does not rust at all. As long as you don’t fill it past the nose it doesn’t spill water out of the nose or top like some say it does. I do not need to use a tea towel for the handle after heating the water – the handle just doesn’t get hot. It has a loud whistle (loud enough to wake the dead). The only time it didn’t whistle was when I didn’t have the lid or cap to the nose closed correctly. Since it’s stainless steel throughout…
