CARE AND USE

All Revere cookware can be used on gas and electric coil ranges. Tri-Ply / Encapsulated cookware can also be used on most smooth-top ranges. Consult the owner’s manual of your range for recommended cookware. BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME: Wash cookware thoroughly with hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry.Oven Use: REVERE cookware can be used in a preheated oven. Phenolic handles and knobs can be used in oven up to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C. DO NOT put in oven when self-cleaning cycle is operating.Clean regularly. Clean lime or mineral deposits by combining equal amounts of water and vinegar in the tea kettle, bring to boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Rinse well. Repeat if necessary. Ideally suited to preparing tea for two, this compact whistling kettle from Revere measures a modest 6 by 5-1/2 inches and holds up to 6 cups. Shiny stainless steel comprises its body while the base includes an added layer of copper cladding to enhance heat distribution. Attached with two screws, the black phenolic handle stays cool to the touch and fits comfortably in hand. A small button located at its top controls the spout’s flip-top and ceases the whistle. Cleaning the exterior can be accomplished with a damp cloth but accessing the inner chamber is difficult as the only opening is through its spout. As a result, it is best to only heat water to avoid the need for cleaning. This product comes with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. — Amy Arnold

Don’t be lured in by low price. DO NOT buy this kettle It was time to retire the Revereware kettle after these 25 years. Our family is smaller now and we decided to get a smaller kettle. Good idea, bad choice. I wish I had kept the box for this so I could send it back but it’s in the trash: to be followed shortly by this kettle. Most importantly, the handle not only gets hot. It’s gets burning hot. I don’t see how a description of this kettle is allowed to say “cool handle” anywhere in the review. There should be a warning…

I mistakenly thought it was made in USA.. I had a Revere whistling teapot for many years when I was younger, but not in recent years. I thought I was ordering approximately the same small size I had always used years ago. I was dissappointed when I opened the box because this pot was so tiny. It looked like a toy to me. The handle is so small that my last two fingers slide off the end of the handle and I have burnt myself a couple of times with the hot steaming pot. Also, I had been reading teapot reviews for a few weeks and I had…
