great investment i have four tea pots the lid is broken on one, one is not microwave safe, one i just got and then there is this perfect black tea pot its not too microwave safe but it was exactly what i was looking for at the time it does not drip and it keeps the tea hot for a long time
Great TEAPOT, not TEA KETTLE This a great medium sized teapot. It holds about 4 12oz mugs of tea, and is a shiny black which looks pretty with shiny or matte dishes. It has a secure lid and the handle is large and sturdy.A short note to those who wrote negative reviews based on cracking problems in the microwave and on the stove burners. Shiny new toy! I keep this as a decorative display piece on the center of my white electric gas stove in my black and white kitchen! It’s lovely. Very shiny. Sturdy construction and smooth (no defects). For years I had a white one almost exact to this that I purchased at Pier 1 Imports. That one had many flaws, as most pottery does (bumps n color changes). I was impressed with the perfection of this pottery piece. Beautiful and functional for keeping hot water or tea warm for hours. Love.
