The India pattern by Wedgwood offers a wide band of exotic blossoms on a field of parchment. Its textured ivory outline and thin line of pale saffron with dark arabesque borders of flowers adds an undertone of spice and allure to India. Made of fine bone china and rimmed with 22-karat gold. You will want to serve your friends and family with this beautiful teapot. This teapot will hold 1.4 pints and is suitable for the dishwasher with recommended detergents. Coordinating dinnerware and accessories are also available. The exquisite India dinnerware pattern lends a quality of exoticism to an otherwise classically shaped and designed tableware collection. This tea pot holds 1.4 pints and coordinates with an entire set of coffee service pieces (sold separately) to use for more formal dining occasions. Its pristine white background is highlighted by an intricately painted floral border in hues of deep midnight blue, spicy orange, and earthy ochre, resembling the richness and beauty of Indian textiles. Edging in 22-karat gold along the rims, base, finial, handle, and spout infuses the piece with some of the more traditional Wedgwood detailing.

As with many Wedgwood collections, this serveware is made of fine bone china, which gives this teapot a beautiful translucent sheen and makes it look quite thin and brittle. In spite of its delicate appearance, however, bone china is reinforced with 51-percent bone ash and is the strongest ceramic available. This modern-day china is safe for the oven and dishwasher at low temperatures although hand washing is recommended to preserve the precious metal work. This teapot is made in England with the same quality and care as earlier pieces from Wedgwood’s 240 years of production and coordinates with a variety of other dinnerware pieces within the India collection. –Cristina Vaamonde

The product arrived on time and was carefully packed. … The product arrived on time and was carefully packed. I was a little skeptical to buy it online, fearing damage. But absolutely no problem. The yellow color on the rim is subtle, which is what I wanted.

Whoever wrapped it really took care to make sure it wouldn’t be damaged in shipping like my last one For once a Wedgewood teapot arrived to me unbroken! Whoever wrapped it really took care to make sure it wouldn’t be damaged in shipping like my last one. Be forewarned, this teapot DOES NOT go on the stove top, and pre-warm it before adding the really hot water to prevent cracking or breaking the china.

Quality and beautiful We bought this as a Christmas Gift for our daughter to add to her set. She was excited and loved it. It is a beautiful set and great quality. Makes a great gift for anyone who has a set and wants additional pieces. This is something I am sure she will hand down to her grandchildren someday.
