What Size Spice Tins do I need?Spices are sold by weight. Versa-Tin spice tins are sized by their volume. Grocery store bottles (about 4″ high) generally hold about 1.8 oz by weight. But put the contents in a measuring cup and the spice will measure between 1/2 and 3/4 cup (4 oz. or 6 oz. Spice Tins).

Something Else to Consider Some ground spices, particularly Ground Clove, react with the clear plastic window material. We’ve tested every clear plastic we can find and they’re all the same. So we recommend using a solid lid tin, such as Limelight or Ovation, or Spice Tins with Protective Technology such as Début to handle spices like Ground Clove and any spice blends containing ground clove such as Garam Masala, Baharat, Pie Spice, Chinese Five Spice
