Meadowsweet was first discovered as a medicinal herb in 1835 as a source for salicylic acid from which aspirin was later synthesized. Today it is frequently used as a medicinal tea having a relaxing sweet flavour for adults and children alike.

Takes away muscle pain and stomach troubles This is my favorite tea and the second time I’ve ordered it from Amazon. It has a sweet, pleasant taste and eases muscle pain (contains salicylic acid) and stomach aches, especially reflux induced stomach trouble/heartburn. I did quite a bit of research online before ordering this tea and found that if you have internal bleeding or are on certain medications, this tea is to be avoided.
