High quality, strong, standard fine mesh, expensive I bought the Rosle tea strainer first and really liked it. I bought this expecting to have the same fine mesh as the tea strainer. It doesn’t, it has typical fine mesh. Very well made, very tough, very expensive. I already have stainless strainers that I bought through Amazon with the same mesh that are almost of equal quality, and they did not cost as much.
Very nice strainer, but not German This review is for the 7.1″ solid conical strainer. One star off because it’s made in China. I always try to buy American but sometimes you just can’t find it. Quality is excellent, with a heavy wire handle and solid cone. Outside of the cone is polished, inside has a brushed finish. It’s pressed / drawn, so there are no seams. It works great for my purpose of straining certain asian soups. There is zero taste imparted to food and no odor.Material is 20 gauge stainless…
So Happy I bought this Rosle strainer. I did a lot of gnashing of teeth while I was trying to decide if the ginormous cost of this Rosle stainless steel strainer was worth it. My last strainer, which, in hindsight, most likely was a petri dish for tetanus, gave up the ghost over an unfortunate incidence with spinach.
