Today, Stash Tea Company is one of the largest specialty tea companies in the United States. The company derives its name from an entertaining aspect of tea folklore. In earlier centuries, tea was a valuable commodity traditionally transported by clipper ship. The ship’s captain often was presented with some of the finest teas for his personal use. This supply was his “stash,” stowed carefully as his “private reserve.” Today, the term is still used to denote anything put away carefully because of its preciousness.

Great Gift Set I purchased 2 of these at separate times and the recipients called after they received the gifts and were so delighted – – with the assortment of teas and also with the wooden tea chest. Love the craftsmanship but not the color. Gear service at Amazon when it came to refund. I love this box, but the color was absolutely wrong for my kitchen. The color did not appear the same as on the pictures. The box I received was super bright light orange color, not rich brown. Aside form the color, the quality and craftsmanship is amazing. I was forced to request a return due to the color. 5 stars becuase the customer care at AMAZON was amazing about the refund. I love Amazon, they are so amazing.
