Illustrations are beautiful, story is great! Penelope is an AMAZING illustrator! I have 5 original pieces from her which prompted me to buy this book. I love it! The story is perfect for kids wanting to learn the backstory of Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers.

Perfect I was given Captain America when my grandson was born, because I am such a huge fan, to start reading to him. Now I have a granddaughter, It is only right she get to learn about female superhero’s. I bought this one to read, the next one will be for my collection.

Probably look elsewhere This is only okay as a bedtime story and that’s after you look past Brie Larsen’s annoying politics (fortunately not featured in the book). Its one of the books where its 90% biographical facts and 10% a quick 2 page story at the end.
