It’s well constructed, but I prefer another. I had a larger one of these from Mr. Coffee which was great. I always found I didn’t need quite so much water at a time, so I would either leave water in or not heat as much in the first place. Not a big deal. When my previous kettle was destroyed by fire(by no fault of the kettle itself), I decided to get a smaller size. The first was a 2 quart Harpwell. I am reviewing the 1.5 Quart Carterton.
