Induction users, please read I switched to induction recently and need to replace my tea kettle. When I got OXO if looked solide and it took a bit of time to figure out that because there is only a light plate of steel that has been added to this kettle the induction stove does not intervals with this kettle as well as it does my solide cast iron pans, stainless steel pots and carbon steel fry pan.Don’t get me wrong, the kettle works but if I was going to buy again I’d choose a lot more wisely.
Well made I had researched this type of kettle a lot and was not disappointed when it arrived. It is well built with a sturdy handle and cap opening mechanism. You can see that it has had a thicker bottom added to use with induction.
Beautiful kettle works great but buzzes on induction stove Beautiful kettle. Works great with one minor drawback. It buzzes loudly on an induction stove.Useability on induction was primary reason I purchased this unit.The kettle is so nice though I can get past the buzzing.
