Disappointed While the product is beautiful, I give it one star because of safety concerns. Like many reviews already stated, the top is warped, the legs do not meet the tabletop evenly, and the screws do not all lie flat against the top, especially concerning since I bought it to use with a glass teapot. After reading the reviews, I decided to purchase despite the feedback because those were written quite a while ago and I had hoped that the problem was fixed. Sadly not, I’ll be returning, silly me!
Poor Build Quality When product was received and assembled it was unlevel by at least a quarter of an inch. This meant that when set on a table all four feet could not make contact with the surface, and it was prone to rocking. I had initially thought that this could possibly be remedied by disassembling and reassembling the legs in a different configuration. It’s pretty enough to leave out even when not in use. I’d only recommend using a natural non-oily wrought or cast iron cleaning product on it, though, since it’s meant to prepare food and powered by a candle. Basic care will keep it from rusting and make it last for years to come.
