“Tesubin” Teapot Cast Iron teapots were first created in ancient China. They were later adopted and refined by the Japanese into Tetsubin:

Graceful, elegant vessels for brewing and serving tea.

Made of specially purified cast iron, they are symbolic of strength and unity.

A coating of black enamel is applied to the inner surfaces to help prevent the development of rust.

As with all “tetsubin” (cast iron teapots) this will brew a marvelous pot of tea and keep it hot for quite some time.

Stephanie Brooks says:

Great Teapot for the Price This teapot does exactly what it’s supposed to do: brew a great cup of tea. Plus, it’s cheap for what it is and it’s attractive. Additionally, I’ve had it for a little over a month now and haven’t had any sort of problems as of yet. When it came in the mail, I was a little shocked at first because it looked so tiny. However, don’t let looks fool you; it brews enough tea for at least two people. I gave it five stars because of the price and its overall good quality.

Nice, but can’t use on cast iron stove My wife loves this, but I was disappointed that you cannot put in on a cast iron stove. I got this so she could make tea on our cast iron stove in the winter. She puts it on our other stove and makes tea anyway.

UGH…. Ugh, please do not buy this teapot. It came chipped and worn looking before I could even used it. I was concerned that the paint chipping would fall off into my tea, so I returned it immediately. I do not recommend this product. Please stay away from buying this wretched teapot. D:
