Joyce Chen Tea Collection and Tea serveware has been inspired by traditions of the Chinese culture. For the Chinese, drinking tea is not so much a ritual as it is a way of life. It is way to show signs of respect, say thanks or apologies, and a form of connection to one another. Therefore, not only is the tea important, but so is the serveware. Serve in style with a traditional Lunar tetsubin cast teapot. Quality hand-cast, cast iron provides superior heat retention. Features enameled interior and removable stainless steel mesh infuser. Joyce Chen’s slogan -InchEastern Cookware for the Western Kitchen-Inch, reflects her focus on providing high-quality, versatile tools and products that have Asian flair, but can be used in a western kitchen. Joyce Chen opened her first restaurant in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1958. The restaurant flourished, and in 1973 a larger Cambridge restaurant was opened. Chen also began writing Chinese cookbooks and in the 1970s began hosting a cooking show on public television. She found that the selection and quality of Chinese cookware in America didn’t live up to her high standards so she developed her own. Today, Joyce Chen Products come from all over the Pacific Rim to bring the best of Asia to you.

Great little tea pot I’m not a tea pot expert but this one is perfect for my use. Cute enough to leave sitting out. I looked at so many here on Amazon and Joyce Chen tea pots seemed to have some of the best ratings, at least in my price range. I wanted one that was well made and had a brand associated with it. After doing a lot of reading about these cast iron tea pots I learned the quality of the iron and production process was an important factor. With the enamel coating on the inside I haven’t had any issues…

Nice sized and very well made Very nice little teapot. The picture does not do it justice. High quality that you know will last for decades. I fully expect it to last my lifetime and be passed down to my children.
