The paint flakes off if you actually use it. It looks nice but after a bit if wear the black paint flakes off. For some reason I thought this was cast iron, but it is not.
Old Dutch ? I;m not sure where they came up with the description. This item is painted a shiny plastic black. I was expecting wrought Iron.
Excellent quality. Crazy for Fleur De Lis, and very pleased with the quality of this trivet. Looks beautiful against our bright white tile. The ring for hanging is a nice touch too.
