Cool mug with some downsides I got this mug for Christmas, and was ridiculously excited. The logo is crisp, and and it looks pretty darn cool. When you add hot liquid, the Hydra symbol is nice and bright, not muddy (again, hot, not warm liquid. Like any thermochromatic mug, hotter is better). The only downside to this mug is that it is HAND WASH ONLY – something I should have figured out, but wasn’t thinking about at the time. One run through the dishwasher, and little pieces of the bigger, printed S.H.I.E.L.D. logo flaked…
I have a very nice collection of coffee mugs I have a very nice collection of coffee mugs. This product was above and beyond my expectations. The logo doesn’t just appear, it starts at the bottom of the tentacles and slowly works its way upwards. The anticipation was enough to wet anyone. I mean seriously, if you love the MCU then this is a must have. If you pass, then may Thor strike you down where you stand. Hail Hydra!
Hiding in plain sight I was highly skeptical about this product as I seriously doubted it would perform as promised. When I made my first cup of coffee my fears were alleviated as it changed colors quickly and lasts as long as the beverage stays hot. The one I received had slight brush marks and a smudge on the hydra logo but still changed colors fine. A tip to anyone scoffing the directions: DO NOT MICROWAVE THIS MUG!!! One of my coworkers liked my mug so much they bought one and made soup in it and ruined it…
