You can’t judge a book by its cover I think I am in the minority here and while I think that the premise of this book was a fun one and I am all for romance novels, this was just a bit too bawdy for me. I should have known that it would not be something that totally appealed to me since the recommendation said that it was like the “Bake-Off” book. Review This book was just perfect for a Sunday Afternoon relaxing on the couch. It wasn’t soppy or over the top sugary, it did not make me want to weep or curse, it was just a really good, well written story. Would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading a feel good, well written story.
A Recipe for a Good Read A nice read when you don’t want to think too much. The characters were a bit weak, in my opinion, but still believable. The plot was rather formulaic and not overly climactic when brought to the reader’s attention. The plight about castles in England was a high spot in the book. The recipes are a bonus. I’m glad I read this but don’t think I will read this again.
