Interesting look into Ceylon I loved reading about the country Ceylon and the description was very good of the trees , lakes , people etc. Reading about the history of the country before their independence was very interesting , however I thought the book was a little two drawn out . All the emotions became a little tiresome .

An unusual story I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and the author brought the characters to life, and her description of the period was excellent and the life that they experienced was very realistic. A very enjoyable read.

I enjoyed this book immensely I enjoyed this book immensely. Great character development. In fact, though I finished this book a week ago I’m still thinking about the plot and the characters. I highly recommend it.
