Lid leaks! Lid leaks! Has anyone else had this problem? The glass itself is very nice and surprisingly high quality thick glass and well done double wall. I wanted to use this for coffee but just in testing it out, the lid was leaking water out. I wanted to keep it because other than that it is what I have been looking for. Also the inside of the lid on this one had stainless steel, not exposed plastic. I think the silicone or plastic seal is not thick enough or something is not flat and letting the glass…
AWESOME! : ) Very happy with this one. I needed a strong double wall glass with a lid that was not too tall and not too narrow. This one is 10 oz. and feels perfect in your hand and when you set it down it feels very sturdy, like it won’t tip over. The width of the diameter on the outside is 3′, dia. of the inside is 2 3/4″. Great black cap that feels like textured silicone or something like that. I slipped a thin black HydroSkin silicone sleeve over it, I believe a 18oz. size was correct for this one…
Great glass mug but with a horrible strainer I like the glass mug (5 points) but had to find an alternative strainer. The one that comes with the mug (0 points) is not deep enough and the spring mechanism to hold it in place is poorly designed. One essentially has to reach into the hot water to pull it out which can be painful at times. If the idea is to keep the tea leaves (e.g. green tea) in the main compartment then it may fine, but for anyone drinking black tea, that should steep for a limited amount of time, this will not work.
