There are other beaker mugs. We tried them all. Some of them may even be. GASP, less expensive. But this is the one you want. It is lab quality (seriously) and will last.
Note: Wash thoroughly before use

okay but with some design flaws I was curious about this and wanted to indulge my geeky side.I was a little surprised at how thin and light it is. It feels really fragile and very light in one’s hand. It works just fine, except that it is more narrow than a real beaker, and it is narrow enough that it is difficult to clean my hand (not everyone uses an automatic dishwasher). While I think it is okay and I continue to use it as a cup for hot and cold beverages, I think it would be better if it was bigger around, made of thicker glass, and easier to clean.Close, but not perfect.
My favorite mug This is such a fun mug! The mug is thicker than a standard beaker and the handle is nicely attached and feels secure, no worries about it breaking. It holds the plenty of coffee which is all I’ve used it for so far. I expect it to be just as excellent for cold drinks, particularly easily measuring mixed drinks.
