A high quality product but not one without problems Were i using this tumbler for iced tea/other cool beverages, I would have given it 5 stars. The strainer is very effective (even the tiniest of leaves did not make it into my mouth) and the tumbler is of a sturdy and high quality build. However, I really do prefer my tea hot especially given that it is winter and this is where the tumbler underperforms.- It’s a great tumbler IF you plan to consume your tea within 30 minutes after brewing, else be prepared to enjoy your tea lukewarm. In my opinion, this tumbler is only slightly better at keeping the tea hot as compared to just leaving the tea in a tea mug. Also note that this tumbler does not have a sipper so you have to unscrew the cap completely in order to sip your tea.- The plastic doesn’t do a very good job of protecting your hands from the heat. If you like your tea boiling hot as i do, you will probably not be able to hold the tumbler for long periods of time as the outside does get very hot (not at the…
Not Just for Hot Tea I’ve bought one of these about three years ago at a mall kiosk and have been looking for more ever since. When my daughter found this on Amazon, I bought a couple of blue ones, a red one and a green one (these make great gifts). What I really like about this particular tea mug is the strainer. The strainer sits below the lid (above the cup) and not inside the cup. The convenience of not having to remove a strainer before you drink is what makes this a perfect tea mug.During the summer, I fill with coffee or tea along with ice. The strainer stops ice from flopping into my mouth. Cold drink without the worry of swallowing ice. Perfection.
I LOVE this tumbler! I really love this travel tea tumbler! I am an avid tea drinker and I spent a lot of time reviewing my options before purchasing this tea tumbler. Since I only drink loose leaf tea it was important to me that the strainer and mug were designed properly for loose leaf tea specifically.I researched based on a couple of factors in addition to that; one being how ‘pretty’ it would be to look at and it was minor in importance but I wanted/hoped to find one that was clear but not glass (due to traveling and living in NYC, I was too worried about it breaking in my purse!) However, it was very important to me that it was BPA free! This travel tea tumbler is BPA free and I carry it every day with me to work in my large purse during my commute.
