Works great, but rubber replacement parts cost a fortune I own 4 of these mugs as well as two of the thermoses. Let me say that you can’t do better insofar as heat retention goes. When I bought the first one, I tested it against its most common competitor by pouring boiling water into each from the same kettle and measuring the temp 6 hours later. I cannot recall the exact result, but it was in the neighborhood of 30 degrees hotter–a clear winner. Similarly, when I half fill the container with ice, I still have ice in that water 24 hours later…
