Mesh is too big for lose tea This didn’t work for my intended purpose of brewing a whole pitcher of tea with hot water, then leave the pitcher out for a few hours to then be refrigerated for ice tea. I do this all the time using several smaller tea balls, or a large one I bought from a beer brewing store which worked great but now is old and disfigured. Well worth it! My husband broke my glass perculator that I make homemade Apple cider in sadly. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money replacing it and found this instead. I figured I would have to cut down cinnamon sticks to fit in here but they fit just dandy! Plenty of room for other spices, oranges. Would have liked the material to feel a bit thicker but easy to clean and will last a long time if we are careful with it in the dish drainer. Glad I found this!
