NOT 2.5 inches, but overall quality is great The sizing listed says 2.5 inches, but doesn’t specify if that is the size of the inside basket/teapot hole size or if it includes the whole outer rim. Yet in either case it is NOT 2.5 inches! It is actually about almost 2 1/4 on the inside and slightly over 2 3/4 on the outside from edge of rim to edge of rim. I uploaded the best pics I could get. Perfect Fit This fit my teapot perfectly. My old mesh strainer was discolored and start to bend out of shape, so I’m happy that this one worked out so well.
