Functional and beautiful! After traveling abroad and experiencing the convenience of electric kettles, I researched numerous brands/models here in the US, most with very mixed reviews. I decided on the Bella for the look and lack of negative reviews that so many other brands had. This kettle is beautiful and works perfectly and efficiently. Nice Kettle I boil water for tea or coffee at LEAST twice a day, and have been looking for an electric kettle for some time. I have heard friends talk about how theirs made the water taste of plastic and I was looking at stainless or glass. Excellent for strong hands I bought this kettle for my elderly parents and it is too heavy for my mother to lift. She also doesn’t like the fact that it is not possible to see the water level and that it is rather difficult to close the lid. It has to be pressed firmly and then twisted. When one pours the water, lid cannot be touched because it is hot. My father had no difficulty but it is used by all family members and for those with young children it might be a hazard. It is made in China.
