This thing is awesome. Boils the whole pot in about 6 minutes This thing is awesome. Boils the whole pot in about 6 minutes. I drink a lot of tea and it’s perfect for that. We took it on a trip chaperoning 13 girls and had hot water for drinks, oatmeal in the morning, etc.
Heats fast but noisy This is a lightweight kettle. Easy to fill and operate. It’s a lot noisier than my last kettle . The main problem I have with it is that the bottom flakes off and you end up with white pieces floating around in your tea. I cleaned it all out with vinegar but that shouldn’t have been required after only about six uses.
Good kettle! It’s of a fairly light weight but looks to be robust enough. No problems to use and I like the way that the lid release button is back behind the hinge (useful if you are refilling the kettle after it has just boiled). Interestingly, when I registered the kettle, it seemed to be a Russell Hobbs (which were excellent) kettle which my family used for many years when living in the UK.
