Wonderful function, terrible taste 🙁 ****Edit**** I had to drop this to 2 stars because after being perplexed by the worsening plastic taste for 3 weeks, I reached my hand inside and found that the glass carafe does not rest on top of the other parts as I assumed. Since the glass is on the outside of the bottom plate, that means the steel plate on the bottom is touching the water (that’s fine), and the 2-inch thick plastic enclosing the LED lights that runs around the outside of the steel plate is exposed to the boiling water. Neat Appliance, but Noisy Pros: Holds a good deal of water, heats up water fast, blue light showing it’s on is handy (and kind of cool), doesn’t spill when pouring (like all my coffee pots have always done).
RUSTY before 3 months. I have owned this for less than 90 days. It’s rusting on the outside and even in the metal under the glass. Looks OK, but poor quality metal.It has never been submerged or in a puddle of water. It’s just shoddy. Works OK though, but not much faster than a kettle on the stove.
