The Capresso H2O PRO features 11 temperature settings from 110 degrees F to 212 degrees F. A stovetop kettle cannot be programmed for specific temperatures and is only handy for reaching the boiling point, which is ideal for black teas. The benefit of the H2O PRO is that you can program precise water temperature for a variety of teas from white and green to oolong, black, herbal and rooibos. It works well enough This kettkle heats water quickly to boiling or to several set temperatures. While it can be programmed to maintain a temperature after reaching it, once you lift it off its base, you need to reset it. So if you fill it and want to keep the water hot to make several cups of tea, it won’t do that though once you hit the “on button” it will quickly bring the water back to boiling. I replaced one exactly like this that I had used for about 8 years I replaced one exactly like this that I had used for about 8 years. The old one’s lid got stuck and after trying to fix it by taking it apart, I discovered it was hollow inside and the plastic spring mechanism broke off. The new one is already giving me trouble and the lid sticks most of the time. Don’t know how long this one will last, but when it breaks, I can assure you it’s replacement will not be a Capresso!
Bought this in April and this worked fine, but a few months later it has started … Capresso 276.04 H2O Pro Programmable Cordless. Bought this in April and this worked fine, but a few months later it has started to leak from the bottom of the plastic window. Not sure if I just got a bad one or if they all do this. Not sure if this can be replaced or whether I have to go buy a different brand.
