VERY nice! I am not a paid reviewer VERY nice! I am not a paid reviewer…I researched teapots thoroughly before I bought htis one. The red is as it looks, a lovely cherry red. Not orange. the inside is enameled so it is less likely to rust. My daughter already let it boil down by forgetting to put whistle top down…I thought for sure it would be ruined or the handle holder melted…etc…but it was fine inside and out. great teapot

Hot Handle This kettle is beautiful. It heats up the water quickly, and has a loud whistle. However, the handle on top gets warm very quickly. Even when I take the kettle off as soon as it whistles, I cannot hold it with bare hands, and need to use an oven mitt to pour the water. I do not notice any steam escaping from the top, but the handle gets very warm. Also, the handle cannot be moved/tilted.

I am pleased to say that the photos don’t do this tea … I am pleased to say that the photos don’t do this tea kettle justice. It was better than I could have hoped for. It’s not only beautiful but well built. I don’t mind the fixed hadle, as I pour water directly from the faucet. It boils water quickly, which I’m a fan of as well. I’m not sure why anyone complains of the whistle. One of the selling features was that it has a whistle. If someone complains about it, don’t buy a whistling tea kettle.
