Heats fast Faster than heating water on the stove. My wife makes a lot of tea and this works perfectly for her. It will keep water at whatever temp you set it to, which is nice as you shouldn’t use boiling water to make green tea. The unit has LEDs which light up depending on the temperature setting. I would say it takes 6-8 minutes to bring a full kettle to boiling. The top is spring loaded for filling. Electric kettle that is enjoyable to use. Wanted a glass kettle as I was using the plastic kettle and wanted to buy something that does not have the harmful effects of using plastic kettle. The kettle is made from stainless steel and glass which makes it better than the plastic ones. The auto shutoff is a great feature to have and it makes things safer. One of the best feature this had was that it has a wide opening which makes cleaning easier .
