Wonderful pot for a tea-drinking family of four This teapot is currently one of my favorite pots. The mouth of the pot is round, unlike other pots which sometimes have a “D” shape opening, making it hard to use an infuser basket. This one has a diameter of 2.5 inches and can comfortably accommodate my ipow infuser basket, which fits down into the pot deeply enough to let my tea leaves have plenty of room to expand during brewing. Simple, graceful, easy tea pot to use. Used for the first time tonight! I pre heated the pot with boiling water, added white ginger pear (Teavana) tea leaves, more hot water and patiently waited! I have a wonderful silver tea strainer that is so much fun to use, and then I played ‘mother’! I am always happy when preparing tea and serving others. Cheap copy of a Brown Betty I am a 68 year old who has been a tea drinker since I was too young to recall. It is all my grandmother’s fault. I thought this was a Brown Betty. It is not a Brown Betty. It is a cheap copy that doesn’t work very well. First, there is no way to pour the fresh first cuppa into the cup without a large part spilling out all over the table. I have tried everything.
