While pushing down, the tea will pour directly into your cup from the bottom of the Aberdeen! As soon as you remove the Aberdeen from the cup, the tea stops pouring.

The Aberdeen is made from BPA free, food safe Tritan TM plastic. It comes in two sizes 525ml and 1000ml. I’ve not had it leak for me at all since I purchased it more than 2 months ago and I’ve regularly been using it to brew single cups of Jasmine tea and liters of English Breakfast tea to turn into iced tea. The perfect steeper I have been looking for a loose leaf tea steeper for a really long time, more than a year in fact. I’ve never found one that met the criteria I had. I wanted something that was simple to use, easy to clean, wasn’t going to break (so many are made from fragile glass) and would allow me to see my tea brewing. I didn’t feel like those were ridiculous criteria but you’d have thought I was asking for the moon.
