You get what you pay for I purchased this inexpensive tea kettle, as I only need it occasionally and didn’t want to spend a lot of money. My thought was, “Why spend so much to boil water?” We have used this probably six times in the month we have owned it. Today about a one-inch chunk of the handle (where it attaches to the pot) melted right off and fell onto the stove top as we were boiling water. Good thing we were watching it, or it may have continued to melt more.
