I wish it is plastic free I usually do not write reviews on Amazon but I was compelled to write this one because there are so many confusing reviews about this product out there. If you are looking for a plastic free electric kettle like me, this is not for you. There are 4 plastic parts inside the pot. ( see pics )1. Filter – removable2. Excellent ergonomics and no-frills, classic design I previously reviewed a different kettle made by Kitchenaid (KitchenAid KEK1722SX 1.7-Liter Electric Kettle with LED Display – Brushed Stainless Steel) and find that this one is equally nice, but for different reasons.
