The bottom (inside) has rusted after never having been scraped … The bottom (inside) has rusted after never having been scraped, put in the dishwasher or scrubbed. The kettle has only been used maybe 40-50 times and always rinsed, never washed with harsh detergents. The rust or enamel floats into the water making the kettle unusable after only a year of owning it. I’ve contacted the manufacturer hoping to get this resolved.

Flo says:

No. I purchased this to replace another Le Creuset that had rusted by the interior base of the pour spout. All I ever do in this kettle is boil water. That is it. I have the same problem with this kettle as the last. Where the side wall and the bottom of the pour spout, inside, is rusted. I have used this kettle for it’s intended purpose and it failed. Pretty pricy fail. Not worth it, it will not stand the test of time.

Thats screaming poor quality. I have’nt even used it for 2 … I would never purchase Tea pots from Le Creuset, this one is cheap. The one I received has a small thick raised part on its enamel coating inside which I wanted to remove but did not , as i am afraid of rusting. The rim ring is moving around allready. Thats screaming poor quality. I have’nt even used it for 2 months. Jeez, I ordered this and send my previous one to Goodwill, I should ‘ve waited.
