Not stove top safe!!! Not stove-top safe. On just the 2nd use, I lifted the kettle off the burner and the bottom completely separated from the kettle basically leaving a round disc of glass on the burner and all the water poured into the stove top. I use for premium dragonwell, therefore I don’t even bring to a boil. Returning to Amazon. Very disappointed and glad nobody was injured or burned in the process.
Great kettle for higher volume Great kettle. It does a good job of keeping your tea/coffee warm for a while even without a cozy. The strainer works pretty well, and the opening is large enough to put even larger wooden spoons in to stir. The nice tall walls make watching blooming teas, or just some loose leaf ones settling. Elegant, Easy and Efficient This was supposed to be a Christmas present from my husband, but he likes it so much I haven’t gotten the chance to brew any tea myself. We usually make about two pots a day, and it is working perfectly so far. I love how we can stick the pot in the fridge once it’s cooled off, add a little extra water, and have the morning’s leftovers as a nice iced tea in the afternoon or evening. The design is very elegant, and it is very easy to use.
Do not use if tea leaves being used require the infuser be kept in the water as it continues to boil on the stoves. The steam from the boiling water will split the bamboo cover. I think this pot is intended to just use the glass carafe to boil the water and once the flame is shut the infuser is placed in the water to steep the tea.
