❥ 1.The handle maybe a little hot when the water boiled. You could cover it with wet cloth or wear oven mitts when handling teakettle when you bring it.
❥ 2.Remove water and completely dry interior after use to avoid rust or mineral build up.
❥ 3.If rust or mineral deposits are detected, boil water on medium heat for 15 min. with 1 oz. of lemon juice. Rinse and dry.
❥ 4.Make sure the water level below the Max. level line to ensure whistling.
❥ 5.No fill water over the Max lever line, overfilling teakettles can cause boiling water to be forced out of the spout, increasing burn risk.
❥ 6.Close the lid tightly to ensure a normal whistle.

Large size but does not heat fast and whistling cap on spout melted. This is a large and very light-weight kettle and we did not encounter the “hot-handle” problem identified by another reviewer BUT… It does not heat fast because there is not enough metal to transmit the heat to the sides of the kettle AND… The plastic part of the whistling spout melted during the first week we owned this kettle and ended up at an angle to the spout which made it difficult to pour the water. Great whistling tea kettle! This is a great tea kettle! I love the beauty and lines of the kettle itself. Itâs very lightweight and well constructed. I filled it up and turned on my stove and it literally was boiling in a couple minutes. This is perfect for me. I drink herbal tea every day and this will make that so much easier.
